Landec’s technology licensing business focuses on applications for Landec side chain crystalline polymers outside of Landec Apio food products business. The technology licensing business includes key corporate partnerships where Landec is the provider of technology and polymer supplies to commercial partners for agriculture, medical, industrial and consumer applications. Landec currently has commercial licensing partnerships with Monsanto (Intellicoat® Seed Coatings), Air Products (personal care, catalysts and specialty additives), Nitta Corporation (pressure sensitive adhesives in Asia), and Aesthetic Sciences (dermal fillers, incontinence products). Landec’s technology licensing business generates revenues and income from licensing fees, royalties and polymer supply agreements.
